Irma Jacobson, 88, Iowa Falls, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls. Burial will follow at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 pm Monday at the Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel.

Irma Jacobson, 88, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Irma Jacobson will be 10:30 am Tuesday, December 2nd at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Reverend Kenneth Krueger officiating. Burial will follow at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday evening at the Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel.
Irma Ruth Blome was born March 15, 1920, at Somers, Iowa, the daughter of Hedwig Lydia [Kasischke] and Adolph Fred Blome. She graduated from the Farnhamville High School with the class of 1937. On March 12, 1942, Irma was united in marriage to Oswald John Jacobson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Dodge, Iowa. To this union two children were born: Lee Ann and Mary Jane. She had been employed as an assistant Post Master with the Farnhamville Post Office before her marriage.
Irma was a homemaker, mother, wife, and 4-H Leader. Irma was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and sang in the church choir for a number of years. Irma and Ossie delivered Meals-On-Wheels for many years.
Irma Jacobson is survived by her daughter: Mary Jane Jacobson of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her son-in-law: Darrell Harless of Charles City, Iowa; two grandchildren: Kristin Harless-Hall and husband Jason of Des Moines, Iowa, Matthew Harless of Des Moines, Iowa; two great-grandchildren: Ashton and Owen Hall of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister: Ruth E. Blome of Iowa Falls, Iowa; three sisters-in-law: Marie Crook of Mechanicsville, Iowa, JoAnn Emmerson of Riverside, California, and Cecyle Blome of New Braunfels, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ossie Jacobson; her parents: Adolph and Hattie Blome; and a daughter: Lee Ann Harless; and two sisters: Rhoda Barhite, Vera McGilvrey, and one brother: Arlind Blome.
