Thais Lawton Wilson, 93, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012, at the North Iowa Hospice, Mason City, Iowa. A memorial service for Thais Lawton Wilson will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, 619 Main Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation and refreshments will follow services at the church. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Thais Arlene Lawton was born July 13, 1918, on a farm north of Alden, Iowa, the daughter of Harry William and Golda Belle [Lieser] Lawton. She graduated from the Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1936. On March 26, 1938, Thais was united in marriage to Herbert Wayne Wilson at Alden, Iowa. They lived in Iowa Falls where a son Ronald was born on August 4, 1939.

In 1947, they moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where they lived 27 years and she worked for the State of Iowa for 22 years. After that time they moved back to Iowa Falls for a few years, before moving to Lansing, Michigan, where Herbert passed away on January 22, 1996. She soon moved back to Iowa Falls.

Thais Wilson is survived by her brother: Donald [Joyce] Lawton of Iowa Falls, Iowa and 2 nieces and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Herbert (1996); her son: Ronald (1995); and a sister: Annabelle Pryum. The family wishes for thank you for your many act of kindness and sympathy at this time.
