John Ray Ahlberg, 60, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away July 1, 2014, at his home. Private family services for John Ray Ahlberg will be held at a later date. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

John Ray Ahlberg was born May 17, 1954, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls, Iowa, the son of James Benjamin and Louise Marie [Anderson] Ahlberg. He graduated the Iowa Falls Community Schools with the class of 1972. He began employment at Joe's super Value, Iowa Falls, then Bahite Larson, Inc. Iowa Falls, OPerin Inc., was owner of the Sand Trap Lounge, Iowa Falls, and delivered papers for the Des Moines Register.

John Ray Ahlberg is survived by four sons: Joshua Ahlberg of Story City, Iowa, Jedd Ahlberg of Story City, Iowa, Carlos Montgomery of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Nathan Ahlberg of Iowa Falls, Iowa; five brothers and sisters: Georgia [Donald] Warnecke of Ackley, Iowa, Jimmie [Mary] Ahlberg of Marshalltown, Iowa, Richard [Shirley Ahlberg of Grundy Center, Iowa, Carolyn [Mike] Carson of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Kenneth 'Herm' Ahlberg of Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Louise Ahlberg; and an infant brother: Douglas Ahlberg.
