MRS. RITCHIE DIED AT WEBSTER CITY
After two weeks very severe sickness following the invalidism of six months, Mrs. R. A. Ritchie passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Dalbey, at Webster City, Sunday afternoon at about two o'clock and she was being cared for at Webster City in order to more conveniently receive treatment of a Webster City physician. For a week it was thot any hour might be her last and members of the family were constantly in Webster City at her bedside. For six months she had suffered from jaundice and gall stones and several weeks ago was taken to Chicago for treatment which however was unavailing. For about two weeks before her death she was confined to her bed and finally suffering is ended in death.
The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church in Webster City. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Jewell.
Mrs. Ritchie was a woman of 59 years of age, a resident of Hamilton county for about a quarter of a century, most of which time was spent with husband and family on the home farm near Jewell. She was a woman of unusually splendid character and was endeared to a large circle of friends and neighbors who sincerely mourn her loss and extend their sympathies to the bereaved family.
She is survived by her husband and five children, all of whom reside in Hamilton county, are Mrs. J. E. Dalbey of Webster City, Mrs. Chas. E. Cochran of Jewell, Wm. S. of Rose Grove township and David A. and Robert C. of Jewell.
