Death Of Mrs. Wm. Hanson

Mrs. Wm. Hanson died at her home at Kamrar at eleven o'clock Sturday, July 27, death bein due to tuberculosis.

Mrs. Hanson's maiden name was Carrie Nelson. She was born Oct. 23, 1869, in Denmark, where the mother and two half-brothers surviving her still reside. In 1889 with her brother, Peter, she came to America and soon after located in Hamilton county. She was united in marriage to Wm. Hanson, August 7, 1895. No children were born to this union. Since her marriage she has resided in Kamrar where her husband is a prominent business man of the town. Besides the husband and relatives in Denmark, three brothers, Peter S., residing north of town, and N. O. and Chris, of Kamrar, and one sister, Mrs. Chris Sorenson, survive her.

Mrs. Hanson was well and highly esteemed by hosts of friends and acquaintances in her home town and throughout his entire vicinity. She has been known as a faithful Christian worker, a loving wife and a kind neighbor, and in her death an unusually large circle of friends feel a personal loss.

The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at one o'clock, from the Christian church at Kamrar, conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. C. Cole. The remains were taken to Webster City for interment. A large number of friends from Jewell and vicinity attended the funeral ceremonies of the one whose loss is mourned, and everyone in the community extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
