MRS. SWAN OLSON

Mrs. Anna Christina Olson, the daughter of Thor and Anna Holland, was born on the old Holland homestead six miles southwest of Randall, Dec. 7, 1890, and died at her home near Montrose, S. D., June 14, 1939, at the age of 49.

She was baptized in the church from which she was buried by Rev. N. H. Peterson, and confirmed in the same church by Rev. C. Eastvold. She grew to womanhood at the old Holland homestead. In 1914 she went to South Dakota to keep house for her brothers.

June 20, 1917, she was united in marriage to Swan Olson. To this union three children were born of whom one died in infancy. Surviving her are her husband and two sons, Albert and Conrad; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Brandvig of Jewell; and three brothers, Thomas, Cornelius and Martin, all of Montrose, South Dakota.

Mrs. Olson was a loving wife, mother and friend, and will be sorely missed in her home and community.

Funeral services were held from the old Holland homestead, and the Clear Lake & Ellsworth church, 5 miles west of Randall on Sunday, June 18, 1939. The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. O. Paulsrud. Interment was made at the Obe cemetery. $4 were given by neighbors for missions.

The pallbearers were Bert Stensland, Hiram Anderson, Martin Teig, Magnus Miller, Goodman Olson and Archie Durby. Special singing was by Mrs. P. G. Pederson and Clarence Larson, who sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Ole J. Sopeland and Mrs. Bert Stensland played two selections.
