Friday, October 27, 2006Johnny D. Stoneking, Jr., 48, of Webster City, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Johnny Doyle Stoneking Jr. son of Johnny Sr. and Sandra Beyer Stoneking, was born on August 8, 1958 in Dubuque, Iowa. He received his education from the Dubuque, Waukon and State Center Community Schools. Johnny's main vocation was as a general manager for bowling centers throughout the United States, most recently as general manager of his families business, the Webster City Bowling Center.
In addition to his parents, Johnny is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Jolynn Stoneking of Gladbrook, IA; daughter, Kathleen Daniel of Marshalltown, IA, grandchildren, Madison and Nash Stoneking, Alyssa Hood and Cael Daniel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and David McMillin of Augusta, KS., Stacey and Garen Parker of Mulane, KS.; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Tina Stoneking of Valley Center, KS. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Johnny was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, 3rd Degree Mason at Garland, KS., 32nd Degree, and Shrine member in Ft. Scott, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Johnny Sr. and Sandra Stoneking, 1301 Elm Street, Webster City, Iowa 50595.
