Wednesday, August 17, 1988Muriel Gladyce Vey, 77, Williams, died Monday, August 15 at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 18 at the Williams United Methodist Church, the Rev. Anita Bane officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.
Friends may call at Surls Funeral Chapel in Williams from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 17 or one hour before the funeral service.
Muriel Gladyce Vey, daughter of Jacob G. and Elizabeth Mae (Boyington) Vey, was born August 19, 1910 in Williams. She was a graduate of Williams High School. She worked as an inspector in a parts factory in Michigan; worked in Des Moines; and also at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. She retired in 1973 and returned to Williams.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Mary) Boss, Williams; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Fitchhorn, Williams; and one brother, Dale (Bud) Vey, Albany, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Wilbur Vey and one sister, Areta Dalbey.
