Kenneth D. Hidlebaugh, 78, son of Howard and Mildred (Cloe) Hidlebaugh, was born March 31, 1933 in Jefferson, Iowa. He passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Panora Nursing and Rehab Center, Panora, Iowa.
He graduated from Jamaica High School and in 1971 he married Shirley Wasson. They made their home in Jamaica. Ken worked for Osmundson Manufacturing until his retirement in 1998 after 35 years. In May of 2009 he became a resident of Panora Nursing and Rehab Center. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, racing, and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the outdoors.
Ken is survived by his sons, Mike (Christy) Pifer of Grinnell and Matt (Cheri) Hidlebaugh of Grimes; two grandchildren, Miciah and Haylee Hidlebaugh; sister, Shirley, and a brother, Donny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mildred; wife, Shirley; and brother, Harold.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday November 28, 2011 at Twigg Funeral Home, Panora. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at Twigg Funeral Home, Panora with the family present at 9 a.m. Ken will be cremated following the services and burial of his cremains will be in Dodge Township Cemetery, rural Bagley at a later date.
