Mrs. Schneden Of Rock Island Succumbs at 78

Mrs. Anna S. Schneden, 78, a Rock Island resident for the past three years, died at 8:10 a.m. today at St. Anthony's Hospital. She had been ill for several years.

Her Rock Island residence was 4438 9th Ave. Before moving to Rock Island, she had lived in Silvis since 1922.

The former Anna S. Dittmer, Mrs. Schneden was born June 24, 1878, in Denmark. She came to the United States as a young woman and lived in Clinton and Morrison, Iowa, before moving to Silvis. Her husband, Gustaf Schneden, preceded her in death in 1922. She was of Lutheran faith.

Surviving are two sons, James M. Schneden, Rock Island, and Harry G. Schneden, Barstow; a sister, Mrs. Marie Mortensen, Chicago; a brother, Chris Dittmer, Clinton, and a grandson.

The body has been taken to the Schroder Funeral Home in Silvis.
