Benjamin, oldest son of Ole Vickum, died at his home in Morrison Sunday last, aged nineteen. He was born and raised in Traer and went to Morrison with his parents a year ago. He was afflicted with Bright's disease. He was working with his father on the railroad, having been promised a position as section boss on the Rock Island this spring. The funeral services were held Wednesday at Morrison.

Death Of Bernhart Vikum
Bernhart Oscar Vikum was born at St. Ansgar, Mitchell county, Iowa, October 1, 1887, and went to Reinbeck with his parents in the spring of 1894, where they lived thirteen months, when they moved to Traer, where they lived until Dec. 27, 1903, then the family went to Morrison. By his kindly disposition he made many warm friends. His sickness was of short duration, being in bed only two days. He died Sunday morning, March 31, 1907, of acute Bright's disease at the age of 19 years and 6 months. The deceased is survived by his parents and brother, Carl, still at home; Mrs. Stearns, of Buckingham, and Mrs. Mason, of Dinsdale. A brother and a sister preceded him to the grave. All were present at the funeral, also a cousin, Henry Hillique, of Blair, Wis., and a cousin, Ole Stemjen, of Traer. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church at Morrison April 3d, conducted by Rev. Tinning, of Reinbeck. Interment in Morrison cemetery.
