Grundy Center, Jan. 2 - John Snitaer, a farmer 55 or 60 years of age and residing north of Holland, was struck by a fast train on the B. C. R. & N. while driving to his home from this city about 9:30 o’clock Monday night. Mr. Snitaer was seriously injured by being thrown a long distance, his horses were killed and his buggy demolished. He had been in Grundy Center, had been drinking and failed to see the approaching train and Drove directly in front of it. He was picked up and brought to this city, where he is receiving care. the physicians think he will recover.
