Jefferson Bee - Tue, Jan 28, 1941 - Funeral services for Raymond W Pulliam were held from the Slininger chapel this afternoon. Burial was made in the Jefferson cemetery.
Raymond William Pulliam, son of Arthur and Natallia Pulliam, was born in Highland county, Ohio August 8, 1854 and departed this life Jan 26, 1941. He had reached the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 18 days.
At the age of 24 years he came to Greene county, Iowa and here at Jefferson on May 2, 1885 was married to Miss Lounie Corl. To them were born three children: Elmer, who died at two years; Arthur, who passed away March 36, 1930; and a daughter Mrs Grace Albertson, who resides at Hartley, Iowa.
In 1890 Mr Pulliam lost his arm in alighting from a train at Scranton. He suffered a fall under the train and his arm was amputated at the forearm.
Mr Pulliam leaves to survive his one daughter, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a brother, Alpha Pulliam of Jefferson and his sister, Mrs Tinnie McNeil of Madison, SD.
