1903 - 2005HUMANSVILLE, MO - Mary Belle (Lewis) Cook, 102, formerly of Rock Port, Mo., passed away March 23, 2005, at a Humansville care cebnter.
Born in Newton County, Ark., she married Cecil Lingerfelt. He died in 1957. She then married Cleo Cook. He died in 1992.
Mary Belle also was preceded in death by her son, Ray Lingerfelt; daughters, Lois Spaulding, Bernice Phillips and Theda Phillips; brothers, Charles, Willis and Alvis Lewis; and sisters, Dollie Evington, Ollie Hensley, Ethel Gregory, Ella Whelchel, Stella Jane Lewis; an infant, Lillian Lewis; and five grandchildren.
Survivors include her son Rex Lingerfelt, Humansville; daughters, Marcine Hannah, Tarkiio, Mo.; and Joan Harper, Killeen, Texas; stepchildren, Robert Cook, Gravois, Mo.; Jim Cook, Watson Mo.; Cecil Cook, Stover, Mo.; and Nancy Cables, Versailles, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment: Monday, March 28, 10:30 a.m. Mount Zion Cemetery, Hamburg, Iowa. Open visitation: beginning Saturday afternoon, at Chamberlain Funeral Home, Rock Port, Mo. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorials: Big Springs Courtyard Garden Fund in care of funeral home.
