Ackley Pioneer Dead - 1916

Mrs. Matt Bangasser, a prominent and highly respected resident of this community passed away in this city after an illness of several months. She was born in Germany in 1850 and came to this country when a child with her parents, coming to the vicinity of Ackley shortly after her marriage to Mr. Bangasser in 1872. She is survived by her husband and ten children, Mrs. John McCoy of Tracy, Minn; Mrs. A. F. Spengler of Freeport, Ill; Mrs. Ed Silver of Dumont; George of Highwood, Mont; Henry-residence unknown at present; Mrs. Lynch of Tracy, Minn; Fred of Bowbells, N. D.; Frank of Gavin, Minn; and Mrs. Thomas Silver and Ed Bangasser both of this city. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in charge of Rev. Father Meagher.
