On Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock at the Presbyterian church, was held the funeral of Mrs. Louis Hass. Rev. R. B. Jones preaching and conducting the burial service and a quartet sang comforting hymns.

Edna Katharine Von Holt was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Von Holdt of this place and was born at Davenport on May 3, 1897 and passed away at the Worthington hospital after a week’s illness, December 8, 1926.

The five brothers and a cousin were pall bearers. The family have resided here several years, where Mrs. Hass, obtained her education in the rural schools and by her sunny disposition and helpful ways won many friends, who feel deeply her early demise.

On August 28th she was united in marriage to Louis Hass, who with her parent and two sisters. Mrs. Chris Hass, and Margaret Von Holdt, and five brothers, namely, John, Bernard, Herbert, Herman and Raymond, besides numerous relatives and friends are left to mourn her passing.

There was a large attendance at the service and many floral offerings. Burial was made in the Silver Lake cemetery. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.
