Henry Boyer who resides east of town, died at his home Friday morning after an illness of only a few days. The deceased was born in Maryland in 1838, coming later to Mt. Carroll, Illinois, where he was married in 1863 to Anna Rosenstock. Later they moved to Grundy Center where they lived until 1900, when they came to Lake Park and where they have since resided. Eleven children were born to this union, ten of whom are living and all were present at the funeral but one. The deceased was a quiet and unassuming man, a loving husband and father and a kind neighbor, strictly honest in all his dealing with his fellow men and will be especially missed in the home circle. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. Wight. He leaves to mourn, his wife, five sons and five daughters: Mrs. Cora Strichler, Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Nellie Stover, Conrad, Iowa; Mrs. Sadie Winters, Harris, Iowa; Harriet, Kate, Harry, Fred and Charles of Lake Park; Clifford and Will of Grundy Center.
