Services for Leo William Halbur, 57, were held Saturday, April 1, 1989 at Henry-Olson-Furhman Funeral Chapel in Ringsted with the Rev. Donahue Sarff officiating. Mr. Halbur died March 28 at McKennon Hospital at Sioux Falls, S.D.
Leo William Halbur was born March 9, 1932 to John H. and Anna Graf Halbur in Ione, Minn. He attended the Milford schools. On July 27, 1952 he married Janice Booton in Milford. He later married Joyce Vigdal Neet on May 11, 1979 in Fort Dodge. Leo lived most of his life in the Milford and Fort Dodge area. While living in the Milford area, he did carpentry work and most recently he was employed by Celetex in Fort Dodge. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joyce on April 6, 1987.
Survivors include three sons: Michael Cottrill, Gissen Germany; Charles Cottrill, Kenosha, Wis.; Allan Neet, Sacremento, Calif.; five daughters: Deborah Bromstead, Salen , Wis.; Machelle Cottrill, Kenosah Wis., Mrs. Michael (Vickie) Davis, Grand Prairie, Texas; Valerie Harmon, West Bend; Lisa Neet, Fort Dodge; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Halbur and wife, Jo, Milford; Elmer Halbur and wife, Karen, Milford; three sisters: Mrs. LaVern (Alma) Arndt, Spencer; Mrs. Len (Ceceila) Muellerliele, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. LeRoy (Marian) Knoll, Hutchinson, Minn..
Burial was in Ringsted Memorial Cemetery , Ringsted.
