Joseph Rittner, a young man twenty-five years of age, from Burlington, Iowa, was crushed to death on the 4th inst. He was hauling a load of lumber, and the cart running over some stumps in the road, threw the entire load over him, fracturing his skull and otherwise injuring him, so that he died.
