A Cute Rogue.—From the number of thefts that are being daily committed, we are let of infer that our city is infested with a number of pickpockets who are up to all the tricks of their trade. A Mr. Terrill, from Burlington, Iowa, was in conversation the other day with a well dressed man, who conversed intelligibly on the topics of the day, it was suddenly found missing. On searching his pockets, Mr. T. discovered that his purse, containing several hundred dollars, had be abstracted, and on further that the rogue had absolutely unscrewed the gold chain to his watch, and taken it with the other booty. The thief probably found that he could not secure the watch without detection, and satisfied himself by taking the chain. We shouldn't be surprised if he called around for the watch one of these days.
