JACQUALIN HEMPSTEAD OBITUARY
JACQUALIN HEMPSTEAD Manchester Jacqualin Hempstead, 82, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements. Jacqualin Hempstead was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Delhi, Iowa, the daughter of John and Effie (Perrson) Pulver. She attended school in Delhi, Iowa. Jacqualin married Charles Hempstead on Aug. 10, 1956, in Kahoka, Mo.; eight children were born into this union. She worked at a local restaurant, was a manger in Tupperware but most of all helped her husband on the farm. Jacqualin enjoyed going bowling, playing cards, spending time with friends and family, attending grandchildren's activities and loved living on Lake Delhi. Jacqualin is survived by her husband, Charles; eight children, Carol (Lee) Pearson, Rick (Peggy) Hempstead, Cathy (the late Edward) Cook, Mark (Jan) Hempstead, Cindy (Dan) Hogan, Ken (Karen) Hempstead, Mike Hempstead and Shellie Hempstead-McCane; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, JoeAnn Quint-Jarosik; brother, Leroy 'Swede" Pulver; and brother-in-law, Jim Tharp. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Effie Pulver; mother- and father-in-law, Harold and Clara Hempstead; daughter-in-law, Nina Hempstead; granddaughter, Jesse Hempstead; great-grandson, Reese Pearson; sisters, Jerilyn Haren and Jeanette Tharp, brothers, John and Olaf "Sonny" Pulver; sister-in-law, Rita Pulver; and brothers-in-law, Ernie Quint and John "Jack" Haren.
