Darnell, Joseph Kelly, son of lewis and Margaret (Kelly) Darnell, was born 4 Aug 1828 inChampaign Co, OH; died 10 Dec 1904 in Davis Co, IA; and was buried there. He married Margaret C Evans, daughter of Andrew Evans, 18 Dec 1851 in Van Buren Co, IA. She was born 19 Feb 1834 in Putnam Co, IN; died 21 Aug 1910 in Davis Co, Ia; and was buried there. The pioneer settled in the Van Buren –Davis Co area before 1856.Children were Ellen, William H, Francis M, Elmer A, and Lizzie M (Leach).
