Gordon L. Martinson 90, of Perry, formerly of Harcourt, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry. Memorial services will be 1p.m. Wednesday, January 25, at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home Chapel in Perry. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 26, at the Lanyon Covenant Church in Lanyon, with Pastor Marc Murchison officiating. Burial will be at Lost Grove Township Cemetery, near Harcourt, with Military Graveside Rites by the Greenfield-Hartquist American Legion Post #699. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church until service time. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family. Memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research, Hospice of Central Iowa, or the Lanyon Covenant Church.

Gordon is survived by his wife Eunice of sixty-five years; daughters, Diane (Richard) Jones of Perry, and Lois (Steve) Lamansky of Ankeny; grandchildren, Ryan (Pam) Jones of Ankeny, Melissa (Nick) Schlaud of Canadian Lake, Mich., and Doug (Michelle) Lamansky of Memphis, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, twins, Carson and Sydney Jones, and Ella Schlaud; and his brother Phillip "Allen" (Evon) Martinson of Fort Dodge.
