Dallas Center, IA – Services for Merrill Edward Smith, 75, of Dallas Center, who died of a heart attack Thursday at Granger Manor in Granger, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Brandt Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the town cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born in Wisconsin and lived in Omaha, Neb., before moving to Dallas Center. He was a retired employee of Dewey Chevrolet in Omaha.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Mae; two brothers, Orville of Beacon and Byron of Brooklyn, Ia.; two sisters, Dorothy Wood of Aurora, Colo., and Lylie Eaton of Fort Collins, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association.
