Carl August Gust Edling (1867 – 1925)

Word was received last Friday from Kansas City, that Gust Edling had passed away suddenly the day before. Mr. Edling grew to manhood here, the family being pioneers of this community residing on the farm now occupied by Arthur Maak. He attended the Old Kiron district school and taught school in this vicinity for a couple of years, then completed business course at Western Normal College at Shenendoah, Iowa, later locating in Omaha where he was married. Later he moved to Kansas City where he was admitted to the bar and was associated with his brother Joe, in the Real Estate business. He was about in his 58th year.

He is survived by his wife, father, brother Joseph, of Los Angeles, California and sister Alma of Chicago.
