Funeral services for LeRoy Otto Dose, 66, of Ida Grove were at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove. He died Tuesday, 7 March 1995 at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove. Revs. Dennis Schultz and Andrew Currao officiated with burial and military graveside services by the McNamara-Moore Post No.61 of Ida Grove at the Ida Grove Cemetery. The Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Ida Grove was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dose was born 25 April 1928 at Hornick, the son of Otto and Esther (Ahlquist) Dose. He married Helen Kruse 16 August 1953 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove. The couple farmed north of Ida Grove their entire married lives. Mr. Dose was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, McNamara-Moore Post No. 61 of the American Legion and was an Ida County Soil Conservation Commissioner for six years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include: his wife, Helen; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Ellen) Schable of Ida Grove; two sons, Larry Dose and Daniel Dose, both of Ida Grove; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Marie) Schwanz of Denison, Mrs. Leslie (Eileen) Grell of Schleswig and Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Boysen of Ida Grove; one brother-in-law, Lester Kruse of Midland, Oregon; nieces; nephews; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
