The many friends of Mr. Edgar Bagley were saddened this morning by the news of his death which occurred at his residence on Seventh Avenue at 9:35. after an illness of but a few days, the immediate cause of his death being blood poisoning resulting from a cut on his finger.
He was taken sick on Friday morning and Saturday was pronounced dangerously ill, with only a few hours of life possible. Through the loving care of his friends, however, his life was prolonged until the above time.
Edgar Bagley was born in Conklin, Broom County, N.Y., in 1844. His first wife died about three years ago and he was married to Miss Ella K. Crosby on October 14th, 1891, and leaves besides his young wife, a daughter, Miss Libble, an aged father and mother in New York, several brothers, two sisters and a large circle of other relatives and friends, commanding by his earnest, thoughtful character and uprightness of his life their highest respect and regard. He was a member of the First M.E. church of this city.
The funeral will take place at 3 P.M. to-tomorrow with burial at Springdale.
By request of Mr. Bagley, the various organizations to which he belonged will not attend in a body.
