Funeral services for Kenneth H. Stutzel, 63, Camanche, father of Ronald Stutzel, Tipton, were held at DeWitt Nov. 24 with burial in the McCausland cemetery, with military rites by the DeWitt post of the American Legion.

Mr. Stutzel died at his home Nov. 21.

The son of Harry and Ella Stichter Stutzel, he was born at McCausland Feb. 23, 1923. He married Lois Newmarch at McCausland July 3, 1945.

He was a heavy equipment operator for the Normyle-Berg Construction company in Rock Island, Ill. until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the McCausland Methodist church and a veteran of World War II, having served in the navy. He was a member of the Eugene McManus post of the American Legion at DeWitt and a retired member of the IUOE Local 537.

He is survived by his wife, 4 sons, Ronald, Tipton; Steven, McCausland; Thomas, Camanche and Wayne, Escondido, Calif.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jean Fuller, Rock Island, Ill. and Sherry Stutzel, at home; 8 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Jerry (Gloria) Ostermeier, McCausland.
