Funeral services for Holger Bengston, 74, DeWitt, were held Aug. 2 at St. John's Lutheran church in Bliedorn. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Bengston died July 31 at Mercy hospital in Davenport.

He married Adeline Petersen in 1937 in Clinton. He retired in 1976 from farming in the Grand Mound area.

Mr. Bengston was a member of the church and the Clinton County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife; 4 daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Janet) Wiener, Kingsley; Mrs. Ronald (Phyllis) Dix, River Falls, Wis.; Mrs. Dennis (Mary) Schaeffer, Buffalo Grove, Ill. and Mrs. David (Judy) Jurgens, Lowden; a son, Harlan, Edwardsville, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Feddersen, Clinton and Mrs. Lloyd (Ellen) Stark, Canoga Park, Calif. and 3 brothers, Emil, Cedar Rapids; Harold, Camanche and Leonard, Rockford, Ill.
