Juleen Ann Barrows, 90, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Alverno, Clinton. Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with arrangements. Juleen requested no services or visitation; cremation will take place at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.

Juleen Ann Nixon was born January 15, 1934 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ervin and Virginia (Young) Nixon. She married David Barrows in 1959 in East Dubuque, Illinois, they later divorced, but remained friends.

Juleen had been employed as the bookkeeper at Barrows Camp-O-Rama/Barrows Enterprises for many years, she had also been a teller at Hawkeye Bank for several years.

Juleen was generous to a fault and she loved animals. It was literally impossible to find a person with a bad thing to say about her and she always helped her family and friends in any way she could.

She is survived by her son, Joel (Karen) Barrows of Bettendorf, Iowa; daughter, Deb (Bill) Vilmont of Camanche; grandchildren, Elise and Maxwell Barrows and her sister, Teresa (Roger) Shaw of rural Clinton, Iowa.

Juleen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gary and Mike and her sister, Kay Armstrong.
