Randy Loyal Law, 69, died peacefully on April 29, 2024, surrounded by friends and family at his home overlooking the Mississippi River after a long illness.
He was born July 20, 1954, the only son of Matt and Georgia Law of Mt. Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Sandi; son, Tim Law of Marion, Iowa; and three sisters, Candace (Ted) Peck of New Albin, Iowa, Peg (Gabe) Castro of Savanna and Lori Moshure of Morrison; four nieces, Jessica, Emily, Samantha, Liz; and one nephew, Andrew.
Randy's career as an independent insurance agent at Lockhart-Law Insurance in northwest Illinois spanned over 40 years. He was co-owner of Cattail Products LTD for 41 years.
He was an active member in many social and conservation organizations, including the Order of the Moose, Rotary, Ducks Unlimited, and Waterfowl USA. He donated considerable labor and resources to help friends and neighbors as a lifetime resident of Carroll County.
One of Randy's greatest passions was water fowling. Beyond roles as loving husband, father, and philanthropist, Randy L. Law will be remembered as a duck hunter.
A Celebration of Life for Randy L. Law will be at the Moose Lodge in Savanna on Friday, May 3, 2024, following the burial. Prior to the Celebration of Life, there will be a visitation from 2-4 p.m. with a service beginning at 4 p.m. at the Law Jones Funeral Home in Savanna and burial to follow at the Spring Lake Cemetery in Savanna.
Memorial can be made to Greenwing, a youth hunting organization by Ducks Unlimited that Randy was an avid supporter of.
