Strawn, S. H., farmer. He owns 250 acres of excellent land, of which 240 acres are under an excellent state of cultivation. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1841 and subsequently moved to Illinois. He served his country four and one-half years faithfully and nobly, being engaged in some of the most important battles of the war. After the close of the war he went to Nevada, and in 1872 he came to Clay county and settled. He is a successful and prosperous farmer; he was married in 1872.
