Sharon Kay Bracewell, 66, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas died Monday, November 7, 2011.
She was born March 11, 1945, in Osceola, Iowa, to Ralph Richard and Mildred Maxine Pierce Zimmerman.
Sharon graduated from North High School in 1962 and lived in Des Moines until retiring from the Drake University catering department.
Sharon loved gardening, watching her sons in sports and was an extremely hard worker.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 48 years, David L. Bracewell; two sons, David (Denise) Bracewell of Colfax, Iowa, Dennis (Brenda) Bracewell, of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Janice Kearney and Judy Pottinger of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her mother, Mildred Zimmerman of Mercer, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Zimmerman of Lineville, Iowa.
The family requests no memorials. A service will be held in Iowa at a later date.
