Delbert Nelson Davidson, son of Elmer Nelson Davidson and Sylina Maude Bashor Davidson, was born March 29, 1920 on a farm near Thayer, Iowa. He passed from this life on May 3, 2003 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at the age of 83 years.

Delbert attended the Murray Schools. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Siefkas on November 24, 1943 in Murray, Iowa; and two children blessed this union, Jerry and Kathy.

Delbert spent most of his life in the Murray area; he was a farmer and part owner of Davidson and Sons in Murray. He was a volunteer fireman and had been a former fire chief. He was a former member of the Murray City Council, a teacher of the Berean Sunday School Class and a member of the Murray Lions Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, spending time in his garden and his yard. He collected farm toys and cars and was a member of the Murray Church of Christ.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth in 2002 and sister-in-law, Ruth Wolfe in 2001.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Rose; son Jerry Davidson and his wife Darlene of Helena, Misouri; daughter Kathy Davidson of Dillon, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; Jennifer Davidson of St. Joseph, MO, Stephanie Davidson of Maryville, MO, Dessa Zamora and husband Micah of Denver, CO, Kellie Miller and husband Terry of Denver, CO, Krista Lane of Dillon, CO, and Kyle Lane of Dillon, CO; 5 great grandchildren; Alexis and Andrew Azmora of Denver, CO, and Chelsea, Chase and Caylin Miller of Denver, CO; brothers, Ralph Davidson and his wife Irma of Welaka, Florida and Richard Davidson of Dover, New Hampshire; brothers-in-law, Darrell Siefkas and wife Waunita of Murray, Iowa, Jack Siefkas and wife Janet of Louisianna, Missouri and Leonard Wolfe of Murray, Iowa; sister-in-law, Wanda Davidson of Murray, Iowa, as well as other relatives and friends.
