Margaret Belle Sanderson

Margaret Belle Sanderson, daughter of Ernest Orson Swan and Hazel Alice Touet Swan was born Sept. 13, 1915 in Osceola and died Dec. 25, 1989 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola at the age of 74 years.

She attended Clarke County schools and Osceola Junior College. She was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Osceola. On Nov. 28, 1934 she was united in marriage to Forest Eberhardt and on April 30, 1939 she was united in marriage to Charles E. Sanderson. To these unions two sons were born, Donovan and Gary.

Mrs. Sanderson was an avid sports fan and she loved house plants. She worked at J.C. Penney and as a legal secretary for a number of years and was deputy county treasurer for several terms. She was also a 50-year member of Ophir Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a 50-year member of Sarah Rebekah Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Forest in July, 1935; her second husband, Charles in January, 1988; and one grandson, Michael.

She is survived by her sons, Donovan Sanderson and wife, Marlene of San Jose, Calif., and Gary Sanderson and wife, Myrna of Osceola; five grandchildren, Kirk Sanderson and wife Scarlett of Osceola, Kristi Sanderson and husband, Dennis Miller of Osceola, Kory Sanderson of Pea Ridge, Ark., Mark Sanderson of Anaheim, Calif., and Terri Laudenslager and husband, Ed of Anaheim, Calif.; six great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
