FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN WESTMrs. Zelia Noble Died At Home of Son, T. W. Noble, in Portland, Oregon, November 29th
Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. Zelia Noble, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 1927 at the home of her son T. W. Noble in Portland, Oregon.
Deceased was born in New York state August 12, 1842, and came with her parents to this community when but a young girl. Her father, Ed Hall, settled on a farm west of Nashua and here she grew to young womanhood and was married to John Noble. Mr. and Mrs. Noble made their home on a farm near here for many years and, upon retiring from farm life, purchased the house where Francis Prudhon now lives, which was their home for many years.
About seventeen years ago she moved with her husband to Boise, Idaho to be near their sons, both of whom had settled in the west. A few years afterward her husband passed away and she then sold her home and went to Portland Ore., to live with her son T. W. Noble and wife, and it was here she remained until the final summons came.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Geo. Noble, of Boise, Idaho, and T. W. Noble or Portland, Ore. She was an aunt of Charles and Marshall Noble and Mrs. E. C. Baumbach and Mrs. W. N. Wayne of this place.
During her residence in Nashua she was a staunch member of the Eastern Star, and was Past Matron of the local Chapter, and retained her membership here through all the years.
The body was interred at Boise, the funeral taking place Thursday, Dec. 8, 1927.Source Unknown – probably local newspaper
