CARL FETTERS.
Died.—At his home 8˝ miles southwest of Nashua, on Tuesday night, Oct.24, 1899, Carl Fetters, about 40 years of age.
About three weeks ago Mr. Fetters was taken ill with typhoid fever and had been quite ill, but had recovered sufficiently to be about the house again and would have gotten along alright had he not partaken of food which his stomach could not bear under the condition he was in and from the effects of which he died yesterday.
He was one of the upright industrious German farmers of Riverton and was a kind and obliging neighbor and a fond and indulging father. A wife and six children—two sons and four daughters—mourn his departure.
The funeral services were held this afternoon at the German Lutheran church of Pleasant Valley.Source Unknown – probably local newspaper
