Word has been received of the death in St. Joseph, Mo., of Mrs. Verda Arrilla Pinney, former resident of Mason City and known to a large number here. She had gone to St. Joseph to nurse an aunt. At the time of her death she made her residence a [sic] Lincoln, Nebr., where she was born in 1893.

Mrs. Pinney's father, Victory Leonin Taylor, died 26 years ago. Her mother, Mrs. B. B. Joslin, is still a resident of Mason City. She also leaves fine aunts, Mrs. Catherine Shields and Nettie Titzel, St. Joseph; Mrs. Emma Mullen, Sioux Falls, S. Dak.; Mrs. J. Cardiff and Mrs. Myers, Alhambra, Cal.

Burial took place at Fairbury, Nebr., where her father was buried.
