A Ghost at Mason City

Mason City, March 2 – A ghost has been seen at the Iowa Central’s Coal House which has all the customary accomplishments from fading from sight at will or appearing unannounced. A party of young people laid in wait for the ghost and saw it, but were unable to solve the mystery. The death of Brakeman John Widdy at this spot a short time ago causes the superstitious to give the story credence.
