Last rites for Mrs. John (Muriel L.) Brimer, 78, a native of Tipton, were held in Mason City May 12, 1989 with burial in Cedar Memorial park, Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Brimer died at the Good Shepherd Care Center, Mason City, May 8.

The daughter of H. L. and Helen Weber Laucamp, she was born in Tipton July 1, 1910. She married John Brimer Dec. 24, 1927. He died in 1980. The couple lived in Cedar Rapids and Tucson, Ariz. before moving to the Mason City-Rockwell area in 1975. Mrs. Brimer was a bookkeeper for Petersen Oil Co. in Cedar Rapids until 1971. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, John, Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Zenana Jones, Kansas City, Mo. and 3 grandchildren.
