Funeral services for Clarence L. Fay, 83, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church Dec. 5 with the Rev. Joseph P. Hines officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Moes Jr., Randy Shaull, Floyd Becker, Don Challis, Dave Urmie and Galen Miles. Honorary bearers were Charles Driscoll, Mike Moes Sr. and Joe Kirk. Kathy Schott was organist and Joe Mallie, vocalist.

Mr. Fay died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids Dec. 1.

The son of John and Loretta Wallace Fay, he was born at Churdan April 14, 1903. He was educated in the rural Green county schools. He was married to Honora O'Mara at Tipton April 15, 1941.

A retired farmer, he had been a resident of the Tipton community for 50 years. He was a member of St. Mary's church.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Bill and Martin, Tipton; 2 grandchildren; a great-grandchild and 3 brothers, Ray, Churdan; Joe, Ellston and Ralph, Ft. Dodge. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers.
