Funeral services for Patricia Fankhauser, 38, Atalissa, were held June 7 at St. Bridget's church, Nolan Settlement, with the Rev. Daniel Mannhardt officiating. The organist was Mrs. Harry Wehde Jr. and pallbearers were James Bates, Donald Powers, Mike Gade, Scott Heick, Gary Hubler and Scott Snider. Burial was in the St. Bridget's cemetery.
A vigil service was held June 6 at Sheets and Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fankhauser, a former Tipton and Solon area resident, died June 4 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.
The daughter of Bernard and Emilie Bena Suchomel, she was born Sept. 15, 1947 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Tipton high school in 1965 and married Ronald Fankhauser Oct. 7, 1967 at Nolan Settlement. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Atalissa area the past 37 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; 3 daughters, Tracie Lee, Kimberly Kay and Tricia Dawn, all at home; her mother, Emilie, Solon; a sister, Mrs. Mike (Peggy) Gade, Tipton; 2 brothers, Gary Suchomel, West Branch and Tom Suchomel, Douglas, Wyo. and her grandmother, Emma Suchomel, Solon. She was preceded in death by her father.
