The Tipton Advertiser announces that the “Great Western” Railroad project (from Camanche to Iowa City via Tipton) has failed. It urges something to be done towards accepting the offer of the Chicago, Iowa & Nebraska Railroad Company to construct a branch of their road through Tipton to Iowa City. A sensible offer.
