G.C. Bannick
Member of Commission of Animal Health. Was born on a farm in Cedar county, Iowa, September 6, 1874, and has lived in Cedar county all his life. Received his education in the rural schools and attended the Norton Normal Scientific Academy. Was married March 10, 1896, to Amanda Rohre. Is proprietor of the "Fairview" herds of shorthorn cattle and Duroc Jersey hogs. He was organizer of the Cedar County Shorthorn Breeders' association and has been secretary since its organization. Is interested in various financial institutions, being president of the Bennett Investment Co., vice president Farmers Savings bank; also interested in other local enterprises. Takes a deep interest in fraternal societies, being a member of the M.W.A., B.A.Y., F.A.U. and O.O.O. A democrat.
