C.L. Rigby
Senator from the twenty-fourth district, composed of Cedar and Jones counties. Was born in Stanwood, Iowa, February 20, 1874. Received his early education in the Stanwood public schools. Attended Cornell college, from which he graduated in 1894. member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Immediately after graduation started farming and is still engaged in that occupation. Married Jennie Davis Billings, to which union was born two children, Edward and Isabel. Has been actively engaged in banking for about twenty-five years, and has been president of the Union Trust and Savings bank at Stanwood for the past eighteen years. Is a trustee of Cornell college, and a member of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges. Elected senator in 1924. Republican in politics.
