Chapman, Wm. H., farmer, Sec. 13; P. O. Tipton; born in Chenango Co., N. Y., Jan. 12, 1830; lived there thirty-four years; was engaged in farming; was in the army; enlisted in the 126th Reg. N. Y. Inf., and served under Gen. Thomas; after the war came to Cedar Co.; engaged in farming; rents 240 acres of the Carl estate. Married Miss Elizabeth Weston, from England, in December, 1863; he has eight children--four sons and four daughters.
