William Roy McVey, 92, resident of 611 Linn Street, passed away at his home Friday night.

The son of Ellsworth and Viola Thompson McVey, he was born on October 21, 1886 in Johnson County, Iowa. In 1912 he moved to Colorado and was married to Elizabeth McClelland in 1956 in Denver, Colorado. Until retirement, he was a clerk for the Carlton Hotel. On September 9, 1975 he moved to Atlantic.

Surviving are one sister, Elsie McCrory of Atlantic; three nieces, Mrs. Virginia Eblen and Mrs. Esther Stowe both of Atlantic, and Mrs. Ruth Narton of Springfield, Illinois; and one nephew, George W. McCrory of Atlantic. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1961, and two sisters, Mary Hughes in 1954 and Elsie L. McCrory in 1977.
