ARCADIA - Funeral services for Donald R. Ewing, 50, of Route 1, Arcadia, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Rev. Lyle B. Grenier gave the prayers. The euglogy was given by George Coffin.
The hymns "Just As I Am," "Beyond the Sunset" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" were sung by Mrs. Vera Jentzen. Organist was Mrs. Maxine Dohse.
Pallbearers were Earl Putt, Richard Putt, Dick Smith, Lloyd Smith, Larry Brott and Melvin Steinkamp. The Alfred R. Rossman Post No. 196, American Legion of Westside, attended the funeral in a body and formed an honor guard at the funeral home. Military graveside rites were by the American Legion of Webster City. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home, Carroll.
Mr. Ewing died unexpectedly at the St. Anthony Regional Hospital Tuesday night.
