Mass of the resurrection for Leo M. Berens, 66, of Carroll was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Church here by the Rev. Edmund Tiedeman.

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Leo Lenz, V.F., delivered the homily and also conducted committal rites at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Andy Kasperbauer, Roger Kanne, Max Bell, Richard Masching, Maurice Dion and LaVern Dominise. Military honors were accorded by Maurice Dunn Post No. 7, American Legion. Participants were Clifford Bierl, Larry Chartier, Floyd Weitl, Donald Schechinger, Leon Oswald, Robert Vonnahme and Dean Wittry, bugler.

The Twit Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Relatives and friends attended the funeral home from Kasson, Blooming Prairie and Hastings, Minn.; Omaha, Neb.; Fonda, Early, Manning, Carroll and surrounding towns.

Mr. Berens died Feb. 10 at the Carroll Health Center.
