Henry Boldt, 76, of 1839 North Highland Drive, Carroll, died unexpectedly at 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 at St. Anthony Reginal Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll, with the Rev. Timothy Koenig officiating. Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery with military honors by Ehlers-Gerken Post No. 694, American Legion, of Arcadia. Friends may call at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 7:30 p.m. Monday. The casket will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Wednesday for viewing until the hour of rites. There will be a family prayer service at the church Wednesday at 10:45 a.m.
Mr. Boldt was a longtime Carroll County resident. A son of David and Dorothea Luckau, he was born at Vail Oct. 26,1895. His marriage to Loretta A. Rose took place Jan. 16, 1924, at Arcadia. They farmed north of Halbur until retiring 11 years ago. Mr. Boldt was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Carroll, and the American Legion at Arcadia. He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Lois) Struve, Manning; Mrs. Merlyn (Gloria) Lenz, Vail; and Mrs. Tom (Lee Ann) Musfeldt, Carroll; a son, David F., of Anita; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Henrietta) Brockman of Arcadia, Mrs. Herman (Emma) Peters and Mrs. Harry (Augusta) Grimsman, Carroll; and a brother, William Boldt, Carroll.
